Discipleship
We are all on a spiritual path. Whether you are curious about God, just coming back to faith, or a believer your entire life, to be a disciple of Jesus means to be continually growing closer to Jesus and each other. Everything we do at EMC is linked to the Disciple’s path.

Rooted
Date: Wednesday, January 21-April 1, 2026
Study: Rooted Small Group Experience
Time: 6:00-8:00 pm
Cost: $30 including devotional book, scholarships are available
Rooted is more than a Bible study—it’s an invitation to experience life with God and others in a deeper way. Over ten weeks, participants explore essential spiritual practices such as prayer, serving, generosity, and sharing your story. Through these rhythms of faith, we learn to connect with God, the Church, and our purpose in the world.
It’s also about relationships. Rooted groups create space for authentic conversations and shared experiences, where lasting friendships are formed and faith is strengthened. Together, we discover what it means to live out the kind of community described in Acts 2—a church that worships, learns, serves, and grows together. Childcare is available with pre-registration.

Walk to Emmaus

The Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual renewal program intended to strengthen the local church through the development of Christian disciples and leaders.
The experience begins with a 72 hour short course in Christianity, comprised of 15 talks by lay and clergy on the themes of God’s Grace, disciplines of Christian discipleship and what it means to be the church. The program is wrapped in prayer and meditation, special times of worship, and daily celebrations of Holy Communion.
Following the three day course, Emmaus leaders organize participants into small groups that meet regularly to maintain and expand the Emmaus Community. The members of the small groups challenge and support one another in faithful living. Participants seek to Christianize their environments of family, job and community through the ministry of their congregations.
If you have taken you Walk to Emmaus Journey, it is time to sponsor a Pilgrim! All sponsors and pilgrims need to complete sponsorship forms.
