This is one area we are tempted to think God too small. We do that by trusting our own goodness to save us from our sin. It’s not an over the top mistrust of God, in fact, we sometimes use worship like we believe God is big enough, but live life with a shrunken God. The irony is that this sickness is most contagious among church-going folks, like us. Today’s sermon is yet another inoculation to the disease of self-righteousness.
